I like Star Wars.
This is a bit of an understatement, like saying my cats like catnip.
I completely avoided everything about The Force Awakens until I saw it. I didn’t want to get super excited about something and have to wait to watch it. While it does have its faults, I enjoyed the movie immensely. Is it the best movie in the history of ever that everyone should watch no matter their interests? No. Is it a fun movie that fits very well with the feel of the movies and the (non-canon) expanded universe? Very much so.
I’m still plotting out some sort of craft to make after seeing the movie. Perhaps a flag modeled after one of the ones from Maz Kanata’s castle.
I have made a bunch of Star Wars themed crafts in the past. This is just a roundup of the ones I could find pictures for.

Sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the week to get everything done. Sometimes there isn’t enough energy in those hours to get anything done either.
I’m getting better about not beating myself up over it.
After talking about it for years, I finally got my Etsy store up and running. I trickled out a few patches in December then spent almost 8 hours on New Years Day photographing and listing the rest of the ones I’d had made up already. I’ve been very ecstatic about their reception thus far! I’m also pleased as punch that they are completely funding themselves and my other crafts without dipping into our household budget.
I think the greatest thing I did for getting things up and running is separating out the creating part and the business part, as well as getting myself organized between the two.
Organized might be too generous of a word, however
I’ve been a busy little bee lately (or maybe an incredibly stressed bee. I’m not sure).

I’ve been on a big patch streak. When I get a few more done and sit down to write some descriptions, I’ll re-boot my etsy store.

I finally got off my butt this weekend and got a few more stockings made and then yesterday set up my etsy store. I took the whole day off of work yesterday (because I’d been bitching for weeks that I never get to take days off. Ahh, the joys of owning your own business) and got it done, along with a few other things like cook dinner for my gaming group.
I don’t have a whole lot up yet, but slowly I’ll build up an inventory. The Ivory Tower of Doom Etsy Store! Continue Reading “My Etsy Store… It’s Alive!”
